The power of love can thaw the coldest heart
When meeting in early fall to select a Middle School musical, the production team had a desire to find a show that would engage the larger student body. Having a three-year old daughter who is a bit obsessed with singing “Let it Go,” coupled with the release of the Frozen II movie, made Frozen JR. a heavy favorite for me!
However, Disney shows adapted from animated films always provide a particular difficulty for achieving the same magical effects on a live stage. I should have known that this production team would rise to the challenge! With a combination of honed acting and musical skills, beautiful choreography, classic stagecraft techniques, creative costuming, innovative set pieces, and NEW (and very exciting) lighting effects, the students have worked SO HARD to create the experience of Arendelle—where Hygge is a way of life!
