Country Fair & Auction
These past eight weeks have been a time like no other. Businesses and schools have had to react quickly and make decisions without knowing what the future may hold.
Dock is encouraged to see our students and their families embrace online learning, and we applaud our faculty and staff for forging ahead with energy and creativity.
Now we need to apply that same energy and "can do" spirit to our fundraising events.
Twas the Night Before the Auction...
...when all through the school, not a student was stirring, we were all under COVID rule. With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore, we update a holiday classic to fit this year's virtual Country Fair & Auction.

This year's 4th Grade Quilt
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
We are extremely thankful to Mrs. Jody Clemens, grandparent of 4th grade student Colton Miller (below, left) for her inspiration and creativity that made this year’s 4th Grade Quilt possible. Both Jody and grandparent Mrs. Becky Sheetz, grandparent of 4th grade student Avery Goldcamp (below right) worked tirelessly with all of our 4th grade students to make this year’s beautiful quilt! The theme verse for this year’s quilt is Psalm 139:14 (above).
Each student chose a bird design for their square and used their own creative juices to choose the colors. Fourth grade teachers Mrs. Kipp Glass and Mrs. Megan Nelson, along with EC-Grade 8 Principal Mrs. Bronwyn Histand, each designed their own bird square as well. Jody and Becky worked individually with each student in the fourth grade class to bring their birds to life! Each square is unique & beautiful in its own way!
Once the squares were pieced, several faithful Dock quilters joined us at school to complete all of the hand quilting together. Jody finished the quilt just days before we went into quarantine in March. God was with us through the entire process!
Please watch our 4th grade quilt collage video (below) and get a glimpse into the making of the 2020 4th grade quilt! Our 4th grade quilt will be part of our Online Auction starting in mid-May!
