Welcome Alumni!

Dock Alumni stay connected and involved by visiting, acting as mentors and volunteers, participating in Dock distinctive programming like Arts Day, and reuniting throughout the year at school-hosted Alumni events. Alumni relations continue to flourish at Dock Mennonite Academy, ensuring generations both old and new remain part of the community.

Glenda (Bergey) Leatherman ('95) helped to host seniors in fall 2024 for Senior Experience Week. 

Rob Wilkinson ('03) hosted Mason Gendron during Senior Experience Week 2025. 

Katherine Kardos ('23), David Michel ('22), and Olivia Zaskoda ('23) shared in Epiphany Chapel, January 2026. 

Logan Hunsberger ('14), Tyler Hunsberger ('08), and Shayne Farmer ('22) led school in worship during Chapel on the Lawn in Spring, 2025. 

Alissa (Alderfer) White ('93) hosted Sophia Veltre during Senior Experience Week 2025. 

Julie (Histand) and Austin Landes ('01) shared in chapel, fall 2025. 

Emily Smucker-Beidler ('83) taught a lesson about Fraktur art on the EC-8 campus, fall 2023. Check out this April 2026 (click link) Anabaptist World article featuring an interview with Emily and how she learned fraktur while a middle school student at Dock. 

Nate Clemmer ('94) was a guest speaker for Foundations of Accounting class, fall 2023.

Steven Hunsberger ('87) was a guest speaker for Personal Finance class, fall 2024.

Dr. Richard Kratz ('87) was guest speaker at the 2024 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

Tim Ehst ('71) (far right in photo) hosted the Cooking and Community: Farm to Table Mini-Term group on his farm, Frontier Pastures, in fall 2024.

Alexa Kennel ('19) was a guest speaker for Environmental Science class, fall 2024.

Congratulations to Liz Derstine (’03) on completing the 2,655-mile Pacific Crest Trail in an incredible 69 days, 13 hours, and 53 minutes—earning the 3rd fastest time ever for a woman and 8th-fastest overall in the self-supported category. Liz captured this remarkable journey from Mexico to Canada in the short film Ridgeline, offering a powerful glimpse into the endurance and spirit behind the feat.
