Let's Go to the Zoo!

3-2-1 Blast Off!

Spend a week with us exploring outer space through books, crafts, hands-on activities, and more!          

 

After Sports Camp Care            

Camp Staff, ages 4 - 14, all weeks, PM               

Each day will be a variety of activities, some of which may include - outdoor games, indoor games, crafts, computer time, reading/writing and quiet time/recuperation time (after the sports camps). A $35 discount will be applied for registration of a full week.

                                               

Afternoon Adventures              

Camp Staff, ages 4 - 14, all weeks, PM              

Each day will be a variety of activities, some of which may include - outdoor games, indoor games, crafts, computer time, reading/writing and quiet time/recuperation time (after the sports camps). You must be enrolled in a morning camp to attend Afternoon Adventures.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Around the World

Campers will travel the world and learn about Mexico, China, France, Kenya, and Russia. Each day we will make  crafts, play games, and read stories from a different from country.

 

Art and Soul

Calling all aspiring artists! We will be exploring a variety of different art mediums including painting, sculpting, drawing, and hearing stories about popular artists.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Come Craft with Us!

Let’s spend the week getting creative! Each day we will learn to make new and exciting crafts together—a whole week of creating our own fun!                                                                                                                         

 

Creative Arts Camp                     

Mrs. Kim Bergey, Dock Faculty, ages 8 - 14, July 12-16, AM               

Let’s explore making 2-D and 3-D art forms. We will experiment with dying fabrics, creating sculptures, using Model Magic and more. It’s going to be an awesome week to get your hands busy and messy creating some amazing art pieces! A $10.00 supply fee is added to the camp cost.         

                                                                                                                                                         

Herpetology: The Study of Reptiles and Amphibians

Mrs. Claire Wanamaker, Dock Faculty, ages 8 – 14, June 28 – July 2, AM     

Do you enjoy chasing after a jumping frog? Do you wonder how a chameleon changes its color? Do snakes make you squirm? Come learn more about these fascinating creatures. We will spend some time each day outside on the school’s nature trail.  There will be daily activities, games and crafts all related to these interesting creatures. No one will be forced to touch or hold any creature they don’t feel comfortable with at this camp! 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

K’NEX Bridge Building               

Mrs. Claire Wanamaker, Dock Faculty, ages 8 - 14, July 12 - 16, AM            

Have you ever wondered the difference between a truss bridge and an arch bridge? What about a beam bridge and a suspension bridge?  Have you ever heard the term cantilever? In this camp the students will spend the week learning about various types of bridges, why there are so many types of bridges and how to build them.  Each student will receive their own Intro to Structures K'NEX Bridge kit to use at camp (cost included in camp rate).  These kits will then go home with the students at the end of the week so the campers can continue to design and create their own bridges. 

 

Let's Go Camping!

Have you ever been camping? This is great for the children who have camped before and for those who have never been camping! Bringing the experience to them! We will be going on a nature walk, making natural creations, flashlight reading and so much more.                 

 

Listen to Your Art

Miss Sarah Rittenhouse, Dock Faculty, ages 7 – 12, June 21 – 25, AM, and July 6 – 9, AM

We will be exploring a variety of different art mediums. We will take a look at different artists and try our hand at creating our own versions of their work. We will experiment with cartoon drawing and self-portraits as well. We will draw, paint, craft, and create a variety of artwork throughout the week!                                               

                                                                                                                                                           

Making Music!

Mrs. Hannah Yu, Dock Piano Teacher, ages 7 – 10, June 21 – 25, AM,  July 6 – 9, AM,  July 26 – 30, AM

Let's write our own songs! 🎶  We will plant a garden of notes through different elements of music.  We’ll learn how songs are made and how they can grow like a plant. 🌾  It will be an engaging, interactive camp!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Mystery Sleuth: Puzzles. Lock Boxes. Riddles. Mysteries. 

Mrs. Claire Wanamaker, Dock Faculty, ages 8 – 14, July 6 – 9, AM (no camp on July 5)

Do these words make you want to grab your magnifying glass and thinking cap? Do you enjoy a good challenge? Then this might be the camp for you. Not only will you be solving daily challenges, but you will be creating your own, too.  

 

Musical Theatre Camp

Mrs. Mariana King Kurtz and Mrs. Kathy Kennel, Dock Staff and Faculty, ages 9 – 14, July 12 – July 30, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm  (3 weeks)

So, do you want to be in a show? Come join Dock’s Musical Theatre Camp. Campers will be involved in exciting theatre workshops, warm-ups, and rehearsals to give them a taste of what it is like to be a star. Camp begins with auditions and ends with a Broadway Junior Show in just 3 weeks!

 

Once Upon an Adventure                     

Mrs. Rachael Grim, Dock Faculty, ages 7- 10, June 28 – July 2, AM or July 6 – 9, AM               

Fee Fi Fo Fum, join us as we read some of our favorite adventures, heroes, and fairytale stories! We’ll explore common themes such as kindness and courage. We’ll spend some time each day writing our own tales. We’ll also explore these stories through drama, art, and music.   

 

Ornithology: A Study in Birds

Mrs. Claire Wanamaker, Dock Faculty, ages 7 – 14, June 21 – 25, AM

Do all birds' nests look the same? Can you identify a bird by its song? If you are interested in learning more about birds and their habitat then this is the camp for you.  We will spend time outside and down on the school’s nature trail.  There will be daily games, crafts and activities all bird related.  Maybe even a virtual trip to an aviary. Grab your binoculars and sign up for this camp!                                                                                                                                                

 

Passport to Explore!

Calling all those who are looking to explore and learn about different cultures. We will be focusing on a new country each day, playing their traditional games, and experimenting with an art form from each country.

 

Rockin' Recreation                   

Mrs. Jayne Longacre, Dock Faculty, ages 8 - 14, June 28 - July 2, AM                  

Games, games, games! Come and join in the fun playing your favorite active games from PE class! Examples: prison dodge, medical doctor, go for the gold, diamond mine, pirate ship, and more!  

                                               

Science Adventures    

Mrs. Livia Wiley, Dock Parent & Chemical Engineer, ages 7 - 9, July 19 - July 23

What’s Matter? This camp will focus on the principles of matter—its phases, its properties, how it reacts, how we can separate it, and how thermal energy is applied to, or generated by, it. Basically, this is how science works! These adventures will be in a hands-on environment of a real working laboratory. Experimental fun will include: imploding soda cans, film canister rockets, elephant toothpaste, and a great geysers car race. A $10.00 supply fee is added to the camp cost.                                                                         

 

Soaring Through Space

Calling all astronauts! It's all about space and the solar system! Spend a week exploring with different space activities and "train" to be astronauts!             

                                                                                                                                               

Summer with Seuss

Sneetches and Horton and Whos, Oh My! It’ll be a rhyming good week exploring all that Dr. Seuss has to offer! Every day, campers will hear a different Dr. Seuss book and embark on a wild adventure. Activities may include scavenger hunts, Seuss crafts, puppets—the list goes on and on…                                                                                                                 

 

Tap into Your Inner Artist!

Explore a variety of media and techniques this week! This is your week to express yourself in the visual arts. Let your artistic spirit soar!

 

Trash or Treasure?

The Earth is our home. Let’s keep it beautiful. Bring your creative brain to see the diamonds in the rough, and the possibility of turning household items into something with a new purpose. We will be learning how to create something new from everyday household objects and recyclable items.

We're going on a road trip!  How many states can we visit in a week?  Buckle up, it's going to be an awesome adventure!                                                                                                                                                                                               

 

Under the Sea

Come and explore the ocean with us. Let’s learn about all the creatures of the sea while playing games, making crafts, and having a splashing good time!

CAL Sports Coed All-Sports       

CAL Sports Coaches, ages 6 - 14, July 12 - July 16, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm     

This co-ed camp is for young sports enthusiasts who are active and would like to try a variety of sports.  Multi-Sports includes dodge ball, baseball, flag football, soccer, and basketball. Additional sports may be added based on our participants selections. This fun and energetic program will help players learn about each individual sport. Participants are grouped by skill and age to maximize the opportunity to develop player skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

CAL Sports Coed Basketball

CAL Sports Coaches, ages 6 - 14, June 21 – 25 or July 26 – 30, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm

This co-ed camp is a fun-filled, action packed experience for youth basketball players. Players will learn the fundamentals of basketball such as passing, dribbling, and shooting. The CAL coaches will instruct and improve the athlete’s overall skill level as well as help boost their confidence on and off the court. Athletes will be placed in small groups based on their skill level so they can be challenged by their peers and receive the attention they deserve from each coach. This camp is great for beginner and intermediate level players and is an experience you won’t want to miss!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

CAL Sports Coed Soccer

CAL Sports Coaches, ages 6 - 14 , June 28 – July 2, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm                      

This program focuses on learning the fundamental soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive environment in which your child will be excited to learn. The program will gradually progress from dribbling to game type scenarios throughout the week. CAL Sports Coed Volleyball

CAL Sports Coaches, ages 8 - 14, July 6 – 9 or July 19 - 23, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm     

Come and learn the fundamentals of volleyball – passing, setting, hitting and serving! As the days progress, coaches will incorporate these skills through serve receive, offensive and defensive drills and gameplay to pinpoint their importance in the game of volleyball. By the end of the session, players will have a basic knowledge of how to pass, set, hit and serve. Players will also obtain a foundation on the rules of the game and positions on the court. This co-ed camp is great for beginner to intermediate level players.
